The Lion Lamb: Revelation As War

Greetings. Earth Dwellers was released in August 2011. You may order at CreateSpace or Amazon.com. This was the beginning of several books I am writing on the Book of Revelation. It is a character-driven study (with exposition of selected passages in Revelation pertinent to the character being studied). The basic chronological flow that John presented in Revelation is honored and adds insight into what each character is trying to show or tell us.

John, the author of Revelation, pulls together several strands of prophetic thought from several books in the Old Testament. But he does not present this information in a boring or sterile way. Instead, John weaved all of this information into an exciting, powerful, and highly visual story with stunning characters in a great plot. That is what I want to focus on in this series of books. The major characters tell the story best. If we understand them, we understand the story.

The Lion Lamb: Revelation As War is due out by October 2011.

You have read about The Earth Dwellers already – those who have barricaded themselves in on this planet, in order to keep God out. Now, the reader is treated to a grand introduction of John’s Hero – The Lion Lamb.

The Lion Lamb is the unmistakable hero of the Book of Revelation.  After an extensive universal, cosmic search by the Throne Sitters court, only One was found that could place into effect the contents of the ancient scrolls that would  thus end all evil.

On one hand, John’s Hero is a slain Lamb who was sacrificed for all Earth Dwellers, so that they might all become followers of the Throne Sitter and lovers of the Earth Maker.

On the other hand, He is a mighty Lion who will return to this planet, destroy the rebellion, and set up a Kingdom, so that His Bride and Chosen Lady will be forever safe in His presence.

This is His story.

The Lion Lamb – Now Available from the Publisher

My publisher (CreateSpace) has now released The Lion Lamb: Revelation As War. It is available for purchase from the publisher now. Amazon will be releasing it in a week or so. The Look Inside feature (you can read some of the pages) will take some time, but should be available about 3-5 weeks after Amazon releases it. Enjoy the book!

As you can see, the books in this series will have a similar look and feel. I wanted to do it this way so that readers can be in a familiar environment every time they pick up a new book to read in this series.

The colors of each book will change as well as the cover graphic. However, all books will be structured in a similar way. Things will be found in familiar locations to improve the reader experience.

I think it is important to stay creative, yet consistent; to minimize distractions; to serve the needs of the reader – so that learning can take place freely.

Editing Phase Continues | Do You have a great hero story?

The Lion Lamb is going through the “proofing” phase now. Many corrections are being made. Helpful suggestions are being implemented from my editors. This book deals with the hero of Revelation.

Progress Being Made

The second book in the series is on schedule for a Fall release date. The Lion Lamb: Revelation As War is a bit heftier than the first book – The Earth Dwellers. It is twice as long, and every chapter is power-packed. I actually start explaining many pertinent passages in Revelation and tying it all back to the Lion Lamb.

This would be a great series of studies for a local church or small group. In addition, once I publish it, if you have questions or need additional insights on something written in the book, this blog would be a forum for those kinds of things.
